not an innovation as such, but...

I downloaded the L-BOXX (and LS-BOXX) catalogues from the Sortimo website and there is a good range of accessories and inserts e.g:

  • lid inserts for storing hand tools
  • small worktop & clamp
  • 'cheap' vacuuformed organisers
  • kits for users to make holders for power tools (an alternative to the foam)
  • laptop holder inserts
  • first aid kits

..and many others. Great, but apparently you can't buy any of them unless you're getting a van or car installation? I emailed Sortimo in the UK asking about retail suppliers for the accessories, or if they would sell them direct, but they didn't even bother to reply.

So, could Bosch make a wider variety of the Sortimo accessories available to order through the Bosch dealer network?

The accessories listed as Bosch parts are available, and easy enough to find online, but what  I was hoping to get was some of the Sortimo accessories that Bosch don't have (yet? perhaps some more are to be added anyway?)

Sortimo product website: http://www.sortimo.de/L-BOXX.295.0.html

Direct link to the Sortimo catalogue in pdf format. It's a 16.9MB download, and pages 15-26 are the most relevant: http://www.sortimo.de/L-BOXX.295.0.html?&a...echash=3d450c08

What I would like is more ways to store hand tools in L-BOXX, though I imagine different accessories will appeal more to other people.

Thanks Bob,

One thing to add - I didn't see a any kind of stackable tote tray to fit the L-BOXX? Seems like an odd omission from the range of accessories, and something that would particularly complement the 236 & 374 (so that it would be possible to stack a good selection of hand tools on top of a decent selection of fixings and other accessories.

Would be nice if there was a hex bit storage container as well for 25mm & 50mm bits.

I've seen a whole range of Sortimo product, including a large number of (non Bosch) L Boxx accessories @ the Sortimo Premium Shop, Germany.  These include spanner & socket sets & inserts, first aid kits et. al.
In addition, I've also noticed a custom ply L Boxx tool insert box for size 4 Boxxes on the German flea-bay site.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a technophobe and lack the necessary skills to post the relevant weblinks.
